Hello everyone!  I am new here and I have been doing some spray tanning for friends and family, but nothing much.  However, I am just now taking all the steps to create a full time business of it and would like to partner up with some salons.  I've heard of people doing this, however I don't know the best approach and wondered if anyone else has had experience in this arena.  Also, once you've found a salon that wants you there, what is an appropriate percentage?  Or flat rate per month?
Any input would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing. I found some pictures online of people with all kinds of cool tan tattoos. I suppose you make stencils of some sort? Seems like a cool idea for something funky, ya know?

I posted some information on here over a year ago about the airflow figures in adverts for spraytan filters/extractors, some sellers were giving the "free airflow" of the motor, which bears no relation to the actual airflow though the filter.
This week i came across another manufacturer who quoted that their machine was the most powerful extractor on the market, 1620 cubic metres of air per hour, I knew straight away that the figures were not right, I have over 20 years experience of designing and manufacturing Award winning air filters/extractors, and its easy to tell when something is wrong, so I purchased one, after several emails between me and the company, they have today changed their advert on Ebay to 520 cubic metres of air per hour that is under 1/3rd of the specification quoted when customers have purchased from them.
I do not mind "fair" competition, but selling items that do not meet the figures in adverts of theirs, is not "fair" competition. it is also not fair to customers who have paid for the "most powerful" machine but end up with less than a third of the power that they paid for. The law states the product must be as described by the seller,(which it was obviously not) The advertising was giving a false power figure and that is illegal, so if you have one and want your money back, then go for it, the trading standards will back you up.

For an extraction unit to be efficient there is more to the design than power, the good design will make better use of the airflow, so you could have a machine that has a lower airflow but is more efficient at removing the overspray, and vice versa.
Just noticed that the weight advertised for this particular machine is quoted at 5kgs, it is actually 9.5 kgs, in old money that is over 20 lbs, that is heavy. try carrying 10 bags of sugar in a carrier bag.
I hope this is of some use to you all, please make sure that you have the right specifications, but where the adverts a deliberately giving false figures then you are at risk of buying an item that is not upto what you expect,
Ron
